About the Spring Fling Festival Organization

The Yakima Valley's burgeoning wine industry has played a large part in drawing increasing numbers of tourists, with special winery events attracting thousands of visitors to the area.  Pre-barrel Tasting and Spring Barrel Tasting, the last two weekends of April, are among the most popular times to visit local wineries.  Yakima Valley communities have developed a variety of special events to provide activities for visitors in addition to wine tasting and to encourage them to extend their stay.

The Spring Fling Festival Organization is comprised of members representing the various Yakima Valley communities from Wapato to Benton City.  Our mission is to promote and expand tourism in the area, encouraging visitors to explore the amenities and participate in the special events of Valley communities particularly during the Pre-Barrel/Spring Barrel Tasting timeframe.  The SFFO provides an avenue for Yakima Valley communities to join together in leveraging advertising and other promotional efforts for mutual benefit and greater impact.  We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization.
